Welcome to The Rec Center! As one of the largest non-profit organizations in Edgar County, we are here to serve your health, fitness and recreation needs for individuals, couples or the whole family! Though The Rec opened its doors officially on January 1, 2014, our roots were established in 1972 as the former Paris Community YMCA. As a mainstay of the community for more than 45 years, The Rec offers the staple programs that have always been successful, such as sports programs for the youth, along with fitness classes and a workout center for teens, adults and seniors. Changing and growing with the times, The Rec is always thinking ahead to the future and finding creative and fun ways to challenge and empower our members and guests.
